Supporting University researchers

ac3 provides professional management of supercomputers on behalf of our shareholder Universities, representing one of the most versatile and powerful installations in Australia:

  • Dell Cluster, with 188 dual processor nodes,
providing over a teraflop of processing power
  • SGI Altix 4700, with 256 cores,
featuring a terabyte of contiguous memory

Details on how to access the supercomputers may be found at http://www.ac3.edu.au/ .

ac3 is the NSW partner for the Australian Research Collaboration Service, ARCS, which provides technical support to researchers.  For more details on ARCS, visit http://www.arcs.org.au/.
