You will be connected to a website which "serves up" a standard desktop to your local machine.  What you see is in fact a webpage crafted to look like a standard desktop environment.  All the applications reside on the remote server, however.

When you click on an icon, the selected program is invoked on the server, but it appears as if it is running on your local client PC.

What you are looking at is nothing less than the future of computing!
 

For this demo to work, your browser needs to:

• be JavaScript enabled,
• have Java Runtime 1.5 installed, and
  
• have access to TCP Port 80 (i.e. http) and 443 (i.e.SSL)
