Sydney, Australia: AC3 has announced that the company has obtained Climate Active Certification. This milestone is a major move for AC3 on its mission to become Carbon Neutral by 2026.

Climate Active is a rigorous, government-backed carbon neutral certification for businesses and is a major way that businesses can take climate action.

“We are proud to say that AC3 is Climate Active. This is just one of the steps we’ve taken to become Carbon Neutral”, says Simon Xistouris, CEO of AC3. “We have made choices and changes in the way we do business to ensure our carbon emissions are accounted for and balanced to become carbon neutral.”

Carbon Neutral certification is one of the most rigorous in the world with companies undergoing independent, third-party verification to ensure integrity of their carbon neutral claims.

“The technology industry is a big emitter of carbon – data centres and technology use lots of power – and customers are becoming more aware of it and expect companies to do something about it. I’m excited to see where this journey (toward carbon neutrality) goes, especially as AC3's Carbon Neutral cloud picks up traction. It allows our customers to opt-in and provides them a Climate Active certification of their AC3 cloud”, says Xistouris.

AC3's Carbon Neutral product provides Climate Active certification of AC3’s cloud platform, ensuring carbon footprint generated from the AC3 services purchased are at zero tonnes of CO2. AC3 achieves this by both reducing their own emissions and by offsetting the emissions we still generate with purchased carbon credits.
