AWS re:Invent videos by AC3 APN Ambassadors

The annual re:invent conference by AWS this year was mainly virtual and sessions presented over three weeks. There were multiple keynotes and sessions where AWS leaders announced new features, service improvements and the latest in cloud services. We've compiled some of the highlights and videos created by our AWS APN Ambassadors here. Watch these short clips as they recount the announcements and technology updates at re:Invent 2020!

In this first video, Guy Morton talks about the latest S3 updates particularly about S3 Replication (multi-destination). This new update removes the need for you to develop your own solutions to replicate the data across multiple destinations. You can use the flexibility of S3 Replication (multi-destination) to store multiple copies of your data in different storage classes, with different encryption types, or across different accounts depending on its intended use.

We have learned a lot while providing Amazon EKS at AWS and have developed a deep understanding of how to deliver Kubernetes with operational security, stability, and reliability. In this video, Patrick Li talks about the updates regarding containers- EKS and EKS Anywhere.

There were important new launches for databases, including the previews of Babelfish for Aurora, a translation layer for Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL that enables Aurora to understand commands from applications written for Microsoft SQL Server. Patrick Li discusses this topic on his short video.

Watch Jaco Olivier as he shares AWS's plans to open a second region in Australia. The newest AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) Region will be available in the second half of 2022, supporting hundreds of thousands of AWS customers with lower latency, and even greater fault tolerance and resiliency for critical cloud workloads.

Lambda now supports functions defined as container images. You can combine the flexibility of container tooling with the agility and operational simplicity of Lambda to build applications. Hear more from Greg Cockburn’s re:Invent update on Lambda functions and containers in this short video.
