Sydney, AU – 20th of October 2025 – AC3 is pleased to announce that its Managed Cloud platform has successfully completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment to PROTECTED level. Coming soon after the assessment of AC3’s Managed SOC to Protected level, this milestone further reinforces AC3’s commitment to delivering services that align with Australian Government security expectations and compliance requirements.
The achievement highlights AC3’s continued investment in providing trusted and sovereign technology services for the Australian and New Zealand markets. With the demand for secure and compliant cloud solutions intensifying across the public sector and regulated industries, an IRAP-assessed Managed Cloud provides the confidence that workloads can be hosted and managed in line with government-endorsed standards.
By aligning with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Information Security Manual (ISM), AC3’s Managed Cloud demonstrates that it upholds the same controls and practices that Government agencies rely on to safeguard sensitive information. For organisations, this means a platform that not only delivers scalability and flexibility but also meets the strict compliance requirements often demanded by procurement, audit processes, and security best practice.
“It’s another milestone for AC3 and our customers,” said Simon Xistouris, CEO of AC3. “Our vision is to be the go-to tech services provider for mission-critical environments in Australia and New Zealand, and this movement towards PROTECTED level compliance has been another step towards realising that vision”.
“Our PROTECTED Cloud platform was built from the ground up to meet the strict IRAP assessment criteria” James Mollison, Head of Hybrid Cloud at AC3 said in a statement. "We've seen the regulatory requirements for most industries becoming increasingly complex, and harder for many organisations to meet without expert assistance. With the launch of our PROTECTED Cloud platform, we’re now able to offer our customers a pathway to sovereign operations, with a secure and compliant end-to-end service that helps them meet their strict regulatory requirements.”
The cloud platform, built on state-of-the-art HPE infrastructure, was designed to align to the strict security requirements of the Australian Government’s ISM controls for PROTECTED environments.
"Our partnership with AC3 is built on a shared commitment to innovation, helping customers succeed, and trust. Together, we're advancing cloud security by combining deep expertise and cutting-edge technology to deliver a scalable, secure environment where organisations can operate with assurance and resilience,” said Chris Weber, Vice President and Managing Director of HPE, South Pacific.
AC3’s IRAP-assessed cloud platform, and IRAP-assessed Managed SOC, are both available to be leveraged by customers immediately.
